Removing the 5980 movement from its case, the eccentric date ring allows for larger numerals compared to most date rings that are concentric.

In the image on the right, the classic column wheel chronograph mechanism is exposed.


Under the dial of the 5712, the moon phase disk is exposed, as is the typical Patek finishing of components not normally seen by the owner. End of article
