Dining In - The Chef’s Table

Lacroix at The Rittenhouse, Philadelphia
Matthew LevinThe Chef's Table is not particularly new in America, but internationally acclaimed Chef Matthew Levin offers an experience with a difference at The Rittenhouse, Philadelphia. Specially renovated with a grand entrance to the kitchen, Lacroix at The Rittenhouse invites guests to go behind the scenes to personally meet the chefs and witness their culinary genius. Those lucky enough to get a place at the granite-topped chef’s table enjoy center stage, seated around a table-like pass in the middle of the immaculate kitchen. Hovering above, a Phillip Starck chandelier adds a touch of retro glamour to the occasion.

A small party of up to six can personally interact with Chef Levin as he skillfully prepares the award-winning cuisine du jour just a few feet away. Shallano oysters, veal's tongue with butterscotch romesco, spit roast lamb with lychees and Kobe beef are among the mouth-watering specialties on the 12-course tasting menu, all accompanied by a fine selection of French wines. Those with a sweet tooth will be tempted by delicious desserts such as steamed strawberry sponge or cherry lime vacherin.

A seat at Lacroix's chef's table costs US$165 per person excluding drinks, and can be reserved for lunch or dinner. For reservations, call +215 790 2533.
