From the top end of Pioneer's product range, the Elite collection, comes the beautifully finished BDP-95FD BluRay Player. Solidly built with the Elite's trademark glossy urishi finish, the Pioneer is a handsome addition to your AV stack.

Boasting excellent audio support, the BDP-95FD is the first such player to offering bitstream output of "all advanced audio formats" including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital+, DTS-HD High Resolution, and DTS-HD Master Audio.

On the video front, the player will give you full 1080p24 video, along with HDMI 1.3 connectivity (including HDMI-CEC technology). What is also extremely interesting is the Pioneer's Home Media Gallery feature which enables users to experience their PC based (other DLNA-compliant devices) movies, music, and photos through this device.

Even in a time when the word convergence is over-used, this feature is undoubtedly useful, and should prove to be prophetic of a future trend in home entertainment.
