New depths of luxury

The resort’s underwater suites will have spectacular views of marine life from most angles of the room. The underwater observatory effect is made possible by a 4-inch thick clear acrylic that wraps around about 70 per cent of the suite. As well, you will be able to interact with the fish by feeding them through a special console located in each room.

Resort rooms feature king-size beds, sitting rooms and library, and personal office facilities such as WiFi and high-speed Internet access. They will also have flat screen TVs, CD/DVD players and refrigerators stocked with gourmet snacks and premium beverages. The ensuite include large jacuzzi tubs and hydro-spa showers.

The interior surface of the resort is pressure-controlled to ensure guests are never exposed to the physiological effects of hydrostatic pressure. Techniques used to design and build submarines will be employed and every unit in the underwater complex will have a safety dome and escape hatchet, among countless other safety features integrated.

Oceanic experiences

Each week-long visit to Poseidon includes two nights underwater and four nights in either of the island villas. The oceanic experience will be further enhanced by the option to maneuver a three-passenger Triton submarine. You will also be able to sip a martini underwater while exploring the ocean’s depths in the resort's luxury submarine.

Above water, you can laze by the resort's pool or take to the skies para-sailing. Other facilities include a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts and a health club. The resort features six restaurants and seven bars, an underwater library and lounge, a theater area and a conference room. There will even be an underwater wedding chapel for those keen to say ‘I do’ in the deep blue.

The Cost

A weeklong visit to the resort will cost US$15,000 per person. This will include accommodation, meals and drinks (non-premium) and range a full-range activities available at the resort. To have exclusive use of the resort for a corporate event, you will be forking out approximately US$3 million.

How to get there:

International flights arrive in Fiji’s capital, Nadi, daily. From there, resort guests will be flown to the Poseidon Undersea Resort by charter plane or they can sail in by private yacht. The resort’s berth is able to accommodate vessels 300 feet long or more.

The first 1000 guests to the resort will have their names permanently inscribed on two monuments: one on the island and the other on the lagoon floor. Why not be a part of history and emerge to tell the story? End of article
