Drivetrain

  • 7.3 litre Mercedes ME120 V12
  • Power upped to 650bhp, torque increased to 780Nm
  • Custom made flywheel and twin-plate clutch
  • Power-to-weight ratio : 521bhp/ton
  • Exhaust system made from Inconel, a highly heat- and corrosion-resistant superalloy
  • Hydroformed titanium muffler

Chassis

  • Front and rear subframes in light weight chome molybdenum for crash worthiness and light weight
  • New lightweight forged aluminium wheels

Body

  • Aerodynamics developed extensively in the Mercedes wind tunnel
  • Aerodynamics revised over C12 : new rear spoiler, new rear diffuser design, relocated wing mirrors for improved aerodynamics
  • Extensive wind tunnel research incorporated into the carbon fibre body for optimised cooling of the engine
  • Headlights now seamlessly integrated into carbon fiber body with new Z-Preg weave, fog lamps redesigned and repositioned
Performance

  • Accleration: 0 – 100 km/h in 3.5s, top speed over 345km/h
  • New optional Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes stop the car from 200km/h in just 4.4s
  • Nurburgring lap time reduced by 12s over C12S, to 7m32s (Sport Auto magazine, France)
