For that reason the middle engine outputs via a two-speed Reintjes reduction gearbox; the wing diesels drive out through conventional Reintjes boxes. As for onboard power, she is equally well specified. She sports twin 55kW Kohlers generators, plenty enough for a long range yacht requiring high levels of self-sufficiency.
Moreover, being bound for hot and humid South-East Asia means her air-conditioning system in particular is likely to be working very hard.

The other big surprise is Choo Choo's stern garage. There she boasts a rather special tender – a 226mph (365km/hr) Italian-built Edonis supercar. The car weighs 1,300kg and is lifted in and out with a customized 1,500kg-capacity Mor Saverio crane system. With her garage tantalizingly half-open during her public debut at the 2006 Cannes Boat Show, she received more quayside attention than any other show boat. Without the car, the garage could accommodate a good-size RIB tender. The foredeck is also used for toy storage and is big enough for two big Sea-Doos and their crane. The outdoor arrangements wouldn’t suit everyone, however. Most owners seeking yachts of this size prefer a bit more of a fun-in-the-sun space, whether flybridge or sundeck.
But behind the design thinking is where Planet 120's number one hull is to be based. Requirements in South-East Asia are very different. For one, exposure to the sun is nowhere near as popular as in the Mediterranean or Caribbean and the like. Air-conditioned living and entertaining space is far more important. This given, Choo Choo will serve her purpose well.
Since Versilcraft was established in 1964, it has launched no fewer than 300 vessels. It has been owned since 1998 by president Andrea Pezzini, the son of the operation's founder. Based in Viareggio, it usually delivers two boats a year and the big majority end up in South-East Asia.
It has not only recently delivered this first 120S, but also a Planet 115. The yard currently has the second and third Planet 120s under construction – both of which should be delivered later this year.
