The national carrier of the Arabian Gulf State of Qatar, the Doha-based airline was re-launched in 1997 and now flies to 70 destinations internationally. Qatar Airways is one of just four international airlines with “five-star” service and facilities, as voted by Skytrax, the airline quality monitor.



  SEATS  
   
  The seats fold fully flat into beds for sleeping on long haul flights.


 
  AMENITIES/FACILITIES  
   
  In-seat audio and video-on-demand feature at each seat with entertainment in multiple languages. A laptop power supply is provided alongside a personal telephone for each passenger. Everybody in First Class gets a feather duvet, slippers, pyjamas, and an overnight personal products kit. On the latest Airbus A340-600 planes, there is also a First Class lounge on board.


 
  MENU  
   
  The food served in First Class is varied, with up to 10 courses per meal that could include luxury foods like caviar and lobster.


 
  AIRPORT LOUNGE FACILITIES  
   
  First Class passengers flying from Doha are received at a new, purpose-built Premium Terminal where they can enjoy access to facilities like a spa, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and duty-free shopping. There are exclusive sleep cabins on hand for resting.


 
  EXTRAS  
   
  Airport transfers in dedicated limousines are available at certain destinations.


 


  SEATS  
   
  On the new Airbus A340-600 and A330 planes in the fleet, seats recline 160 degrees, and have independent lumbar support and a foot massage bar built into them.


 
  AMENITIES/FACILITIES  
   
  In-flight entertainment is of the on-demand variety, with a playlist of up to 50 different music albums. Soon, passengers will be able to send and receive text messages and watch satellite television stations in the air. Business Class travelers get a range of 20 movies – in either English, Arabic, or Hindi – to choose from on personal, portable players.


 
  MENU  
   
  The menu in Business Class includes a six-course meal featuring hors d'oeuvres, antipasti, and mezzas.


 
  AIRPORT LOUNGE FACILITIES  
   
  Business Class travelers have access to the Premium Terminal. There, they will get to use the wifi-equipped business center for any last-minute meetings, as well as have access to an exclusive area in which to relax.
