This airline's Silver Class service will have you whisked off to the airport in jet-set style by a complimentary chauffeur service, after which you would be checked in by roving concierges with laptops while waiting in the Silverjet Lounge at a private Luton terminal (or the dedicated lounge at Newark). Gone are the check-in desks as Silverjet promises you a 30-minute kerb-to-gate check-in time for those with carry-on luggage. If you don't want to be bogged down by any last-minute hassle, check in a day before the flight by doing it online or through your mobile phone.

Silverjet's customized Boeing 767-200s are fitted with 100 seats (instead of the usual 300), each specially installed with a seatback massager. When reclined, the seat stretches out into a 75-inch flat bed with a built-in reading light and laptop power port.

Silverjet, which is the world's first carbon-neutral airline, clearly aims to create a sanctuary in the skies for weary business travellers. Flight attendants will tip-toe up to you with gourmet platters made of china, and meals are all freshly prepared in collaboration with London's Michelin-starred Le Caprice.

From take-off until landing, cabin lights are all dimmed and the plane is a sleep zone where there are no annoying announcements or call bells - even overhead lights have been removed from the cabin to minimize any disruption to passengers' sleep. Female business travellers will be glad to know that there are women-only bathrooms on board.

Passenger jackets and coats will be returned to you only upon leaving the aircraft. In addition, there is a 'Breakfast Express' service in which passengers leave the plane with a packed breakfast and a steaming cup of coffee.

Fares start from US$3,000 and there are three flights each day between London's Luton and New York's Newark airport.
