Relaxation is the priority here at this men's-only day spa. Monsieur Day Spa is a two-storey Neo-classical building along the Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, Florida.

Decked out with every sort of grooming and spa services imaginable, including a lounge and bar area for a boys’ night out, the spa is the brainchild of sisters Golnesa "Gigi" and Golnar Ghovanloo.

Explaining the concept of Monsieur, Gigi says, “We want to offer first-class services and amenities for a select clientele, one that is seeking a holistic spa experience in a modern yet comfortable atmosphere where a man can maintain his physical appearance and mental relaxation.”

True to her words, mahogany wood stations, Brazilian marble and generous use of black, silver and white keep the décor looking polished and decidedly masculine.  No fancy chairs here; there are only sturdy Barcelona chairs in black or white.

The spa is sectioned into three exclusive zones for massages, grooming services and the chill-out area. Man-sized beds cradle your tired body with accompanying Asian art and water fountains to soothe those senses in the massage zone.

Over at the grooming zone, watch movies on oversized plasma TVs while you’re getting your hair trimmed, or lie back in spacious Versailles recliners for manicures and pedicures done by their trained specialists. Tanning and waxing are done in separate treatment rooms, upping the privacy factor.

The second storey will provide you with your professional needs. You can purchase the Monsieur skincare products, or get a new outfit at the retail shop.

There's also a library with plasma TV and a fully stocked cigar lounge, with WiFi connectivity should you desire a fresh change for a business meeting or even a bachelor’s party.
