Elad Properties, owner of New York’s iconic Plaza Hotel, are collaborating with Fendi Casa on their first foray into the Los Angeles area. The Carlyle Residences are located in the centre of the “Golden Mile” Wilshire Corridor, and is flanked on all sides by other prestigious areas such as Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood and Century City.

The 24-story crescent shaped building will house 78 private apartments, ranging in size from 2,700 – 5,000 square feet.

Set against unobstructed, sweeping views of the Santa Monica mountains and the Pacific Ocean, the property looks set to be a sterling example of couture living; all design concepts and furnishings in common spaces at The Carlyle are to be provided by premier fashion brand Fendi Casa.

Residents can already count on a custom-designed Dale Chihuly glass sculpture to grace the property amidst other extravagant amenities such as a 24-hour white glove concierge service, not unlike the standard offered in luxury hotels.

Residents will also be given membership to The Regency Club, a fitness centre powered by The Sports Club LA, a private wine cellar, and a large dining area for private events.

The Carlyle is the last chance for anyone to own a new high-rise property in the area, as permits for developers have run out. The exclusive property is expected to be completed and ready for residents in the first quarter of 2009.
