Guests at London’s Gilgamesh Restaurant Bar and Lounge will
find themselves transported back to ancient times as they dine amongst
Babylonian architecture and carvings.
The restaurant got its name from the Epic of Gilgamesh,
which has its roots in Mesopotamian mythology, and tells the adventures of a
Hercules-like Sumerian king in his quest for immortality.
Set above the Stables area of the bustling Camden market,
the 15,000 square foot Gilgamesh impresses not only with its magnitude and
scale, but also its opulence and exotic imagery of an ancient civilization,
greeting guests with impressive marble pillars and intricate stone carvings that depict the heroics of Gilgamesh.
The venue has a restaurant, bar, lounge, tearoom and VIP
area, where guests can dine, drink, socialize, and dance the night away.
Serving up a range of “Pan-Asian” cuisine with signature from South East Asia,
China and Japan, the Gilgamesh is led by Head Chef Ian Pengelley, who is well
known for his contemporary Pan-Asian cuisine.
