Jetsetters and business executives now have a new address in
Seoul to rejuvenate and recharge in the best way possible for their next
conference after that long-haul flight overnight.
The Park Hyatt Seoul, Hyatt’s first ‘Park’ hotel in Seoul,
is a 24-story shimmering glass box in the heart of Seoul’s business district of
Gangnam, opposite the Convention and Exhibition center (COEX).
Japanese design firm Super Potato have redefined notions of
“traditional” hotel layout in their concept for this 185-room hotel. For
example, the hotel lobby sits right at the top – on the 24th floor,
and is lavishly dressed in orange leather sofas, Myanmar oak, Japanese and
Chinese natural stone, and bathed in natural light, makes for a welcoming
landing.
At the end of the Lobby Lounge, a 17-meter indoor heated
pool, visible through a glass wall, offers stunning views of the city below.
All the rooms, including a presidential suite, two Diplomatic suites and 35
Park suites, are embellished with the latest modern accoutrements with
floor-to-ceiling windows and award winning spa-inspired bathrooms.
For dining options, tuck in to grilled meats and seafood
prepared in wood burning ovens at the hotel’s signature restaurant Cornerstone.
After that, recline at the Timber House, styled after a traditional Korean
house, and enjoy live jazz music over a martini or sake.
