A 560-acre island in the Turks and Caicos archipelago is poised to become the site of one of the world's most exclusive private island
resorts, Dellis Cay.
The vision of Dr. Kinay, Chairman and CEO of The O Property
Collection, the resort will feature 124 private villas, 154 residences, a five
star hotel and 30,000 sq ft spa operated by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Dr Kinay has sought out some of the world’s illustrious architects
to realize his massive project. A team of seven world-renowned architects
including the likes of Piero Lissoni, Shigeru Ban, David Chipperfield, Carl
Ettensperger, Kengo Kuma, Chad Oppenheim and Zaha Hadid will design the
resort’s beach house residences, luxurious villas, restaurants, boutiques and
the marina.
Dellis Cay will also have its own medical center, helipad,
nature reserve, dining establishments, a fitness center and a host of
facilities for outdoor activities and watersports.
Priced between $2 million and $20 million, construction work
on the residences has begun, with an estimated completion date set for end of
2009.
