The urban landscape we know is set to evolve into
eco-friendly infrastructures, with innovative projects like the Cybertecture Egg by James
Law Cybertecture
International, commissioned by Vijay Associate (Wadhwa Developers).
The radical
32,000 square metre egg-shaped building will span 13 floors of offices, and
showcase an integration of intelligent systems and multimedia to provide its
users with a customizable working experience.
Imagine being able to personalize
the view outside your office window to one with real time virtual scenery – Cybertecture’s new
intelligent systems and technologies make this possible.
Tenant wellness is
further enhanced with regular health checks monitored by the inventive ‘Cybertecture health’ system,
which determines vital health statistics like blood pressure and weight.
On a
macro level, Cybertecture’s tilted oblong frame passively optimises solar
energy consumption and reduces heat gain, while a rooftop garden with wind
turbines and solar photovoltaic panels help generate electricity.
Even water
conservation is taken care of with the incorporation of a water filtration
system that recycles grey water for irrigation purposes. This exciting new
development is situated in Mumbai, India, and is slated for completion at the
end of 2010.
