With its press conference drawing in the kind of fervent
media interest usually reserved for gadgets starting with an ‘i’, expectations
have been sky-high for the Touch Diamond, mobile device giant HTC’s new
flagship smartphone.
Intuitiveness and a laundry list of features are at the
forefront of the Touch Diamond’s appeal, alongside its maker’s promise of
allowing for effortless Internet browsing and the use of web-based
applications.
Features like a full-fledged desktop-like web browser, a YouTube
application and one-touch music playback are accessed with the TouchFLO 3D
touch screen interface, HTC’s new proprietary system.
Specifications on the
quad-band HSDPA 7.2 smartphone are a 2.8-inch VGA touch screen, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth, 4GB of internal flash memory, an orientation sensor or accelerometer
and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
