Wine enthusiasts are now able to enjoy a novel drinking experience at New York’s luxurious St Regis Hotel, thanks to Potion Designs. At Adour, an upscale fine-dining establishment by renowned French culinary sensation Alain Ducasse, a technologically driven interactive wine bar has changed the way diners choose their wine.

This hi-tech system will allow users to explore the range of wines available by wine type, country and varietal, simply by pressing on menus projected on the wine bar’s surface. A sophisticated content management system also allows for the wine list to be updated daily or for special occasions.

The 4-seat wine bar constructed of gold and bronze and covered in goatskin is not only a tool for selection, but also for education on wines, providing background information on grape varietals and producers of the wines selected.
