In a significant
departure from its signature aluminium and black palette, Porsche Design has
launched an entire collection in white.

collection imparts a technical look, thanks to a combination of white with metals
like aluminium, titanium and stainless steel.

Explaining the radical switch, Roland
Heiler, Managing Director of Porsche Design Studio says: “The typical color of
Porsche Design is black. The color white, on the other hand, stands for purity
and also has the property that it highlights the shape of the product. These
characteristics also make white an excellent medium for our minimalist design
language.”

Porsche Design’s mobile phone, winner of a
2008 iF Award for product design, is now clad in aluminium and white. Other
products offered in this collection include a jacket, sunglasses, a writing
