Luxury
yacht and personal cruise liner owners can now extend their catalogue to hit
the rivers and lakes. Lancel and Ostréa Marine is indeed entering new waters
when it presented their luxury canoe, named Le Nantucket, at the recent Paris
Boat Show.
Built
upon the concept of ‘French lightness’, this 7.7m long boat weighs 1,900 kg but
is capable of slicing through the waters at speeds as high as 25 knots, thanks
to its 120 horsepower diesel engine. Beautiful in the simplicity of its sailor
color theme of striking red finishing upon clean white surfaces, the canoe is
not just some pretty paddleboat.
The
Le Nantucket is equipped with an electric windlass, automated table, custom
stainless steel pieces and chemical toilets amongst some of its many features.
And if that’s not enough to rock your boat, there are also options to throw in
an LCD display, a Bose sound system and an integrated iPod. This French luxury
priced at €150,000 (US$236,000) is only offered in a limited number of 25.
