Occupying what was once the site of East Coast’s largest hotel, the Roney Plaza, Gansevoort South Hotel, Spa and Residences on the north end of Collins Avenue between 23 and 24th Streets, is a luxury, mixed-use development with 334 hotel suites and 259 condominiums.

Gansevoort Hotel Group’s father-and-son team of William and Michael Achenbaum bring their signature rooftop pool from their maiden venture in Manhattan to Miami. The difference is that this time, they have enlarged the pool by more than five times. And instead of just steel, concrete and hordes of people, you can now look forward to a spectacular view of the sun, sand and the Atlantic Ocean from your balconies.

A 50-ft seamless shark tank teeming with sharks welcomes guests at the lobby. The spacious rooms in understated charcoal gray boasts creature comforts and the latest accoutrements you would expect in a luxury hotel.

For dining options, check out STK and Philippe Chow – no strangers to New Yorkers. There’s also the largest DavidBartonGym+ Spa to date, if you desire a workout or pampering session. Or simply kick back and watch the sunset on Miami Beach over margaritas at the Pool Plaza.
