Lamborghini has announced Thursday it will stop making the
Gallardo Superleggera. The Superleggera makes way for the sizzling new Gallardo
LP560, which first saw daylight at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this momth.
Only 172 of these light-weight, performance-oriented version
of the Gallardo have been produced to date, the last of which have already been
built and shipped to dealers.
For the record, of the 172 Superleggeras rolled out, 46 are
in orange, 45 in yellow, 37 in black, 34 in gray, and 10 in white. No doubt,
the current owners of Superleggeras will be delighted that they now have a
prized collector’s item in their possession.
