T-012, a German bar and club designed in honour of
Germany's first president Theodor Heuss, won the prestigious red dot design
award 2007, clinched the Deutscher Designer Club award 2008, and even
made a guest appearance in Playboy magazine. Its catchy name, T-O is an
abbreviation of Theodor, while "12" refers to the club's address in the midst
of Stuttgart's boulevard of nightspots.

Designed by Gunter Fleitz and Peter
Ippolito, the three-storey club flaunts striking white illustrations juxtaposed
against black backgrounds, a myriad of mirrored surfaces, and urban-themed
furnishings, such as a street lamp. A horizontal lighting creation of large
Perspex boxes illuminates the club, and beckons guests to step inside. Get
acquainted with the lighter side of Theodor Heuss through his interesting
quotes that are prominently displayed on the staircase as you ascend its steps
to explore the lounges, bars and dance floors on the various storeys.
